Card journaling with the new Crafty as a Fox,

Lightbulb Moment Collection.

Book 2 page 8.

Happy Friday, crafty friends!

Today, let's spread some sunshine with a vibrant rainbow card using the Lightbulb Moment Collection from Crafty as a Fox. This project is perfect for those who love quick and easy crafts but still want to create something visually appealing.

The Project:

This card is a "one-layer wonder," meaning there are no extra layers or fussy techniques involved. It's all about simple stamping and clever design. To create the rainbow effect, I've stamped the lightbulbs in black, then used distressed oxides in rainbow colours to stamp the light halos. This simple stamping technique adds depth and dimension to the card without requiring any additional layers or intricate techniques.

Why This Card is Special:

  • Quick and Easy: Perfect for busy schedules.

  • Visually Striking: The rainbow colours and lightbulb design create a fun and uplifting card.

  • Versatile: You can customise the colours to suit your preferences or the recipient.

The Sentiment:

The "Shine Bright" sentiment adds a positive and encouraging message to the card. It's a great choice for a pick-me-up or to acknowledge someone's positive impact on your life.

I hope you're inspired to try this colourful card project! It's a fun and rewarding way to spread a little joy. Not only is it easy to create, but it's also visually striking and customisable. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting out, this project is a great way to have fun and express your creativity.

This project is inspired by page 8 of my card journal, where I first created this design. Card journaling has been a fantastic way for me to explore new ideas and document my creative process. If you're interested in learning more about card journaling, I'll be sharing more about it at the end of this post.

Here's how to make the card:

  1. On stamping card, start by stamping the two types of lightbulbs alternately across the card. Stamp in black Versafine ink, and leave to dry.

  2. Next, choose five rainbow colours from your favorite ink range to stamp the lightbulbs. Ink up the halo stamp and stamp in each of your rainbow colours over the top of the lightbulbs.

  3. Stamp the sentiment onto the bottom corner of your card front.

  4. Lastly, mount the project onto black cardstock and adhere it to a card base.

This is a fun and quick card that is perfect for any occasion.

I hope this inspires you to create your own quick and easy rainbow card! If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.
